HOPE in the Midst of Uncertainty

HOPE in the Midst of Uncertainty

In Jesus there is HOPE in the midst of uncertainty. There is no true isolation when He is only a prayer away. You are not alone! Are you looking for hope? Visit uscalliance.org for more information.

THE CHURCH IS NOT CLOSED - WE'VE MOVED ONLINE!

Due to the health concerns caused by COVID-19, our services are now exclusively being streamed online. All programs and events are also being moved online. Stay tuned for ways to keep connected.

Due to the recommendations for social distancing to slow the spread of COVID-19, the church office will not be staffed on a consistent basis. You may email any of the church staff members by clicking the staff photos on our "meet our staff" page. Prayer requests may be submitted on our "prayer" page or by emailing [email protected]

As the situation with the COVID-19 changes hour by hour, we have decided to make several changes for our gathering on Sunday, March 15. In order to safe-guard our children and children's workers, we will not be having any children's ministries (Nursery or Discovery Land) on Sunday morning. Children will be free to sit in the service with their family.

We know that some of you will not be able to attend, so we have arranged to broadcast the service live via Facebook. Simply go to our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/uscalliance. The service will begin at 10 AM.

Please pray for protection for all of our international workers and our entire church family, especially those with compromised health or other high-risk factors. Pray for all healthcare workers and our government officials. Also, pray for opportunities to demonstrate love and hope to those who are gripped by fear.

Finally, as God enables you, please continue your faithful support of our church and our international workers. You can give on-line safely and securely by going to www.uscalliance.org and clicking on the "Give" tab.

If you have any questions, concerns or special needs, contact one of the staff or one of our elders. You can submit a prayer request by emailing Maralee at [email protected]

As we are all aware, coronavirus, or COVID-19, continues to spread and be a concern to many. We want to take this time to address the issue as a community so we can continue to gather in a safe and healthy environment.

It is important that we, as Christ-followers, are engaging with these concerns with sensitivity and in a Christ-honoring manner. While we will do everything possible to remain informed, sensitive and wise in the way we approach this situation, it is equally important that we conduct ourselves in a way that reflects our confidence and trust in a God who offers hope regardless of circumstance. We encourage you to trust the Lord in this situation while using wisdom to take appropriate precautions. Our desire is to be Jesus’ hands and feet.

We certainly don’t want to overreact, but we do want to respond properly. After careful consideration we will still be meeting this Sunday. Here are some precautionary steps we will be taking moving forward:

• Our facilities team will continue to work diligently to keep high-contact surfaces clean and disinfected.
• In our children’s ministry area, we will continue to clean and disinfect regularly.
• We have installed additional hand-sanitizing areas in several places.
• When you greet others in services, opt for a smile and a wave rather than a handshake; our greeters and hosts will be doing the same.
• We are encouraging any volunteers and staff members to stay home if they are not feeling well.
• The offering plates will be placed near the doors at the end of the service to receive your tithes and offerings.

If you or a family member have a weakened immune system, health concerns, are in an at-risk group, or are not feeling well, we encourage you to stay home.

As more information is made available, we will post updates via social media and our main website, www.uscalliance.org.

If you would like more information about the virus and proper prevention measures, we recommend visiting the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website rather than getting your information from social media.

Please join us in prayer and sensitivity for those affected or at risk during this time.
