Looking For Hope?

Do you feel like something is missing? Is there an ache in your heart you can't quite describe? Do you struggle to find purpose but keep coming up empty?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, you're not alone.

We were all born to have a relationship with God. The Bible explains that all of us have sinned (turned our backs on God and gone our own way) and now we are separated from God. We can't fix this on our own no matter how many good works we try to do.

We're all trapped in our own guilt. Wrong has been done and someone has to pay.

Here's the good news...

God desperately wants to have a relationship with YOU. That's why He sent His only Son, Jesus, to pay the penalty for what YOU have done.

Jesus died to set the guilty free.

What does this mean to you?

If you want to experience the hope that comes from being made right with God by trusting in Jesus, take these three steps...

1. ADMIT that you have done your own thing and are separated from God.

Romans 3:23 ; Ephesians 2:9; Matthew 4:17

2. BELIEVE that Jesus died in your place.

Romans 5:8; Romans 6:4-5

3. COMMIT your life entirely to Jesus and follow His lead

Romans 10:9

When you take these steps, you become a new person, you find true hope and purpose, and you get to live a life for eternity with Jesus in Heaven!

A suggested prayer

Jesus, I admit to you that I am a sinner, but I choose to turn from my old ways right now and trust you to save me from myself. I believe you have paid the penalty for the wrong things I have done and will forgive me and make me a new person. I commit myself to following you. Please come into my life by your spirit so I can live the life of hope that you have promised.

“This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him."
John 3:16-18 The Message
